I am thrilled to have three images included in this exciting campaign. See them at the Creative Action Network and spread the #voteourplanet word.
The Bee:
“Inspired by what I was learning about Colony Collapse Disorder, I started painting bees in 2008. Essential to the cultivation and propagation of so many of our foods bees felt like our contemporary canary in the coal mine. ‘Bees are dying! Something IS wrong with the system!’ my conscience alarmed. Eight years later the planet continues to alarm. The health of our environment, of our planet and its inhabitants is the issue of our time. With their collaborative social structure, pollination work—endlessly supporting the propagation of new life and nourishment, as well as, producing the perfect, naturally preserved, sweet food, bees are iconic beacons to call us to responsible action.” – Britt
