°Migration of Hope - SOLD
To get from here to there
will there be a place in the sky to fly,
will there be welcome earth or water to land?
________________
Artist Note: Most of the world’s 29 or so species of geese migrate between their breeding and wintering grounds, some even over the 30,000 ft Himalayan Mountains others cover distances spanning from Northern Canada to Mexico. Migrating birds, especially waterfowl, follow broad but well defined migration routes called flyways or migration corridors. Pest status for pooping and safety threats for aircraft have resulted in "Wildlife Mitigation" plans for geese which include habitat modification, aversion tactics, egg suffocation and lethal control.
